Group of Grit

There’s not enough support for girls navigating personal hardship, especially those facing autoimmune disease or life-changing diagnoses.

GOG is here to break that barrier.

Group of Grit helps girls and young women, along with the caregivers who support them, build resilience, confidence, and self-worth through honest conversations, empowering tools, and a growing community. What started as an idea has grown into empowering apparel, and there is so much more to come.

This is more than a brand. It is a movement that gives girls the support they need to feel seen, understood, and uplifted in the moment, while also helping them build the inner strength and self-trust to keep going, growing, and creating a future they believe in. Because every girl deserves to feel strong in her story and hopeful about where it is going.

Your Founder

alex's story

I’ve been the girl chasing big dreams – on the court, on the ice, and in life – while battling an autoimmune disease.

Group of Grit was born from my own fight to keep showing up when it wasn’t easy – through flare-ups, setbacks, and moments I didn’t think I had anything left to give.

Now, I’ve built a space for women who know that messy, imperfect, and exhausted can still mean powerful. Here, we build self-worth alongside self-work, hold space for the hard days, and remind each other that no diagnosis or hardship gets to write the whole story.

WE’RE BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER

A course to support through life’s toughest challenges.

Sip & Grit

A cozy, honest conversation space for women navigating autoimmune disease – and for moms raising gritty girls.

Sip & Grit is our free monthly virtual gathering. It is not a program. It is not a course. It is not a Facebook group you scroll through and forget.

It is a space to exhale.

Each month we hang out for real talk, reflection, and connection. Sometimes it’s about diagnosis, sometimes grief, relationships, identity, sport, faith, burnout, parenting – or just how freaking tired we are of holding it all together.

Honestly? Nothing’s off limits.

There is no pressure to share. No pressure to be “positive.” No pressure to have it figured out.

Just conversation.
Just support.
Just honesty.

If you have ever wished for a space that feels more real than social media – this is it.

Testimonials

The Wall of Love

Real experiences, real impact.

Before Group of Grit, I felt like I was navigating everything on my own. Since finding this space, I’ve felt a sense of belonging I didn’t know I needed. It helped me realize that it's okay to struggle and it's also okay to grow from it. That shift changed how I approach hard days.

- Jasmine, age 20

I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear the kind of messages GOG shares. The reminders that who I am is enough, even on the days I feel like too much or not enough at all, have stayed with me. It’s not just a community. It’s a reason to keep going when things feel heavy

- Maya, age 17

Group of Grit helped me rewrite the story I was telling myself. I used to define myself by what I couldn’t do. Now I feel like I have the tools and support to focus on what I can. It gave me the space to step into my voice again.

- Alina, age 24

Knowing there are other girls out there navigating similar things made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t before. GOG isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about connection, empowerment, and the reminder that I’m not alone.

- Kenzie, age 16

As a parent, watching my daughter find her strength through Group of Grit has been incredibly moving. She finally has a space where her challenges aren't treated like limitations. They're seen as part of what makes her powerful.

- Sharon

Sometimes I felt like no one understood what I was going through. When I found Group of Grit, it made me feel like I wasn’t the only one. It helped me feel more brave to talk about what’s been hard.

- Tessa, age 13

Before this, I used to hide a lot of how I felt. I didn’t want people to think I was weak. But in GOG, it’s like the hard stuff is actually part of what makes you strong. That really stuck with me.

- Jade, age 15

I used to think I was different in a bad way. Group of Grit made me feel proud of who I am.

- Sofia, age 12

Watching my daughter finally feel understood has been the biggest gift. This brand gave her words for what she’s been carrying and showed her she’s not alone. As a mom, that kind of support is something you can’t put a price on.

- Melissa, mom of a 13-year-old living with ulcerative colitis

Since connecting with Group of Grit, the young girl I care for started to open up in ways I never expected. She’s still learning how to handle hard days but now she knows she doesn’t have to do it by herself.

- Natalie, caregiver to a 15-year-old navigating mental health challenges

We spent years feeling like no one really got what we were going through. Group of Grit feels like a breath of fresh air

- Erin, mom of a 12-year-old with an autoimmune condition

I wear my crewneck almost every day, it’s seriously the comfiest thing I own.
